The 50's Sucked!

I often ponder why I am so fixated on the 50's and early 60's. After all, life was not as idyllic as it was portrayed in the tv shows and ad campaigns of the times. When you get right down to it, it really wasn't a great time to be around at all. Some truly terrible things were going on, what with the Red Scare and McCarthyism and the constant threat of nuclear war and race riots and the Korean and Vietnam wars and ... 

... the Cuban missile crisis and JFK's assassination and .... and....

...and basement bomb shelters, and .......and then there was that horrible time when..... when......

Damn. I SO need a time machine.

Truly one of the most stunning women of the swinging Sixties. If you've never seen 'Fathom', you have missed out in life.The same cannot be said for  'Myra Breckenridge', save for a brief shot where she applies a ruler to a male backside, warning of more where that came from. Sadly, no more than that was forthcoming.
