More Scribblings

So - a full 30 people checked the 'Give Me More' box from last week, more than on any other post (yay!), not to mention several comments encouraging me to post more works-in-progress and sketches (double yay!). By that I can infer one of two things -
a) the idea is popular, or
b) since the post has been up all week, and in that time the blog has accumulated around 6000 visits......(doing the math, doing the math....)  that means about 199 in every 200 of you would really rather I didn't (including one sourpuss who is apparently decidedly against it).

Hm. Tough decision. I'm going to go with human nature and choose "a", only hearing what I want to hear. The rest is just noise, and I'm putting my hands over my eyes and ears so as to make it all go away...

This last one was a preliminary study for this final illo ; at this early stage, it really wasn't working - I wanted to see the  woman's expression, and  the poses and the silhouette were too static. He actually looks a bit bored or disappointed in her lacklustre efforts - hardly the life-altering walloping I'd intended.

I will post more studies and scribbles down the road, in blatant disregard for the will of the majority. We may live in a democracy, but blogs are dictatorships. Get used to it.

  1. I like both of them. The second one reminds me of a favorite one by another artist, but the "final illo" is wonderful too.

    1. I would be curious what particular piece and artist you are alluding to. When it comes to doing otk subjects, there are only so many angles and poses to do, so parallels are inevitable.

    2. There's at least a couple. Have no idea who the artist(s) are but I try an find them and send them to you.

    1. ha-ha! I was just having a little good-natured poke at the silent majority. I know that if they didn't like what they saw, they wouldn't visit at all.
It's amazing, though, how many people would not even check a box. I dunno, maybe they're afraid I would somehow be able to know who they are, and would publish a list....

I took a poke at the one person who checked the Not My Thing box, but at least he wasn't afraid to voice an opinion.

      Thanks for your kind words.

  3. Of course you should go with (a). Geez, I can't believe you don't recognize just how talented you are......the internet sure is a crowded place and people dont often stop and take the time to voice their appreciation, but I'm willing to bet that of the 6,000 visitors, 5,000 at least appreciate your talent. The domestic D/s world is not as prolific as the BDSM space, but those of us in it are very passionate about our particular interests. Nothing excites as much an angry woman in capri pants with a hairbrush in her hand or a thick leather belt around her waist.

      - The attitude one assumes toward their own skills is a perilous area for an artist. Like your own work too much, and your arrogance can impede your improving further. Dislike it too much, and you rob yourself of the confidence to do it all. Pure objectivity is a thin tightrope between the two and I think most artists are constantly fighting to keep their balance. I've seen many drop into the abyss...

    3. Thanks, Tommy! I look forward to yours, too. We both need to keep plugging - we FM artists are a rare breed.

    1. Although the pics probably have no deliberate spanking connotations, it's amazing how even an innocent pic of a hairbrush in a woman's hand can transform her whole persona in a spanko's mind.

  6. I love your work and would like to see much more of it. I am 63 years old and have been a bottom for longer than I can remember. In my time, I have known three great spanking artist, Stanton (sadly has passed away) Jay Em (seems to have vanished?) and you. Keep up the GREAT work and don't disappear on us. And remember, beautiful laps and LARGE bath brushes RULE!!!!!!!

    1. I am honored you would include me in such illustrious company. But let's not forget some truly talented artists like Barb and, of course, Sardax, who stands above the crowd.

"beautiful laps and LARGE bath brushes RULE!!!!!!!"

      They rule me.

  8. I feel for the young man in the last one. The expression on that boy's face is priceless.
